About DivineLeeloo

I saw the movie in the theater with my stepdad, two brothers, my stepdad's best friend and two daughters (one my best friend) back when I was 14 turning 15 .

I remember not being sure whether it was going to be those pervy lustful movies that was disguised to be a totally awesome futuristic movie judging by the commercials on television.

I  wanted my own pair of neon-orange rubber suspenders that Leeloo wore after David gave her clothes. Also I was entertained watching her defeat the Mangalores using Martial Arts (At that time I was really psyched to learn Tae Kwon Do because my brothers had taken a mixed Martial Art. I did join a Tae Kwon Do school  later when I was 17 though.). It was a total GIRL POWER scene!

I never did see the movie again but I did see that my friend had a VHS of the movie (although we never watched it). Later when I went away to a vocational school, I don't know what struck me to think of the movie but I remembered it and I went out and bought it. I have it on VHS and I own two DVD's (The Ultimate Edition & The DVD Video version.)  but I would have it as many as three DVD's  of the movie but I had thrown one away because I could not hear Korben's mother's voice in the backround while she was on speaker (Very strange. Probably a sound bug?).

From then on, I watched the movie like crazy and I went as far as to research it online. I also discovered the Glossary of Leeloo online from another movie enthusiast who had The Story of The Fifth Element. I printed it out and hung onto it in hopes that I could translate it word for word by following along with the movie.

It's a funny thing, when you have ADHD and ADD, you tend to get frustrated an throw out your project before you get 1/4 of it finished. I must have reprinted it out atleast 5 times since then.

After finding out that the language was not completed, I thought it would also be cool to try to refine the language and create new words with my own creativity. I hope my attempts today will not go uncompleted but that I may achieve more than 1/4 and then beyond.

A Special Thanks Goes To...

Heather Zanitsch (Zorg)-

For allowing me to view and upload images as proof of Leeloo's Glossary out of, The Story of The Fifth Element book. She is the most dedicated enthusiast I have ever met in my group based on her collection of The Fifth Element memorabilia and artwork drawings she is so skilled as creating. If it wasn't for her I would have never gotten most  of the information I have now. She has also been generous enough to correct more phrases from the novelization of The Fifth Element. "Caupo ruto welso brak." (Contacting this person in the hotel.) There was another person online who had stated it mean, "I'll show you where." Since then, I can go to her for any information as I consider her to be a big help and a good Fifth Element enthusiast (The Fifth Element movie) friend too. Please give her some much earn respect for her dedication on the subject.

DivineLeeloo Disclaimers

This is an enthusiast site of The Fifth Element movie and is only for entertainment .  As a website community webs.com gets praise for allowing me to keep my site here to share. I do claim the research and work I put into this site though. Eventually in the future I would like to buy divineleeloo.com domain from them when I have the finances but for now I will enjoy what I have and be thankful.

As an enthusiast, I reasearched for any information about the unique language creating by Luc Besson. Thanks to a friend (Heather), she sent me some images of the glossary from Luc's book, "The Story of The Fifth Element" and shared information about The Fifth Element (novel) by Terry Bisson.  All credit and praise goes to their respective owners.

I cannot claim the pronunciation to be true or accurate because I did not create the language. I do claim that I added the suggested pronunciation guidelines.  I would like to have found the real pronunciation guide but since there is no way of knowing other than what is heared while watching the movie <The Fifth Element> it does not count as being accurate.

Images also have been uploaded for entertainment only because they go with the theme and vibe of this site. They were not created by me nor belong to me; these are basically movie scene images and media advertised images.
